When scheduling your hospitalization, you will have the option to choose the type of room you wish to occupy : shared room or private room.

No additional medical fees will be charged for a shared room. Patients with basic health insurance but without private or employer-provided hospitalization coverage typically opt for a shared room.

Patients with hospitalization insurance may choose a private room, which offers the following benefits:

• Superior hotel-style comfort with unlimited daytime visits and the option for a companion to stay in the room
• Priority placement on the surgical schedule
• Direct telephone access to the surgeon and anesthesiologist 24/7 in case of questions or concerns.
• Care provided by the surgeon 24/7 in the event of the patient’s readmission via the emergency room.

Since reimbursement terms for hospitalization insurance vary from one policy to another, Dr. Landen and all members of his team (anesthesiologist, assistants) are committed to not charging medical fees more than those covered by your insurance. This commitment is firm and is included in the admission document signed jointly by the patient and the surgeon. If you are unfamiliar with your health coverage, you can contact the Delta Hospital’s Personalized Administrative Unit free of charge. They will handle the necessary procedures with your private or mutual insurance provider and will be able to provide you with precise information.
